Katie Grieve has a background in mathematics and data analysis, with experience researching equality and diversity in tech. She is passionate about using data visualisation to explore and identify inequalities and bias.

In 2024, Katie received funding for a project which used heritage walks as a mechanism to build community and visualise marginalised histories, both physically and geographically.

Through Diverse CDT, Katie is keen to connect with historic data sources and communities to explore how visualisation can be used as a tool to share stories and bridge the gap between raw, often ‘hidden’ data, and public understanding.
