I’m Dr Mirela Reljan-Delaney, a Lecturer in Computer Science at City St George’s, University of London. My past research sits at the intersection of participatory data visualization and active travel. I’m particularly passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices and finding creative ways to translate lived experience into meaningful visual data.

I’ve had the privilege of sharing my work internationally, exploring how data visualiZation intersects with feminism and power. My publications range from cycling experience and uncertainty visualization to the ways we frame and represent marginalised narratives.

Beyond research, I’m a founding member of Women++, the Women in Computing Society, and the ACM-W London Chapter. For me, inclusion and intersectionality aren’t just an interest; it’s a commitment.

I am a committed and mindful supervisor with a lot of experience working with MSc and undergraduate projects. I’ll encourage you to ask bold questions, challenge assumptions, and develop a research identity that’s genuinely your own. I’d love to hear from you.
