On 30 April, City St Georges colleagues learned about Diverse CDT’s innovative approach to PhDs. This included an explanation of the PhD by component approach, as well as an interactive session on data visualization.
The content covered included –
- How City St George’s staff could benefit from being a Diverse CDT supervisor
- The role of a supervisor in a component PhD in Data Visualization
- How much time and resource supervisors can expect to commit
- The types of data challenges and projects offered by Diverse CDT’s range of external partners
- The types of outputs supervisors might be able to generate
- How the project co-design process will work
- How supervisors may connect with Diverse CDT students to work in their research area
