The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the strategic city government for London, working on behalf of the Mayor of London. The GLA’s City Intelligence Unit (CIU) provides evidence, analysis and insight to support the development of policies and the prioritization of funding programmes. The CIU delivers a large range of analytical projects each year, develops models of how London is changing and also manages a number of data services, relied upon by our partners in the public and private sector.
The CIU has been developing its own data science capacity along with a team of data visualisation developers, who develop good practice, tooling and templates as well as delivering their own outputs.
