PhD Overview
“Diverse CDT has been an amazing experience. It’s vastly expanded my ideas of what data visualization is and what it can be. It’s been lovely exploring the field with such a welcoming and inspiring community of both staff and students.”
Students with Diverse CDT complete a four-year, fully funded, PhD programme in Data Visualization.
The programme involves:
- Advanced training in data visualization in the first year, delivered by experts from City St George’s and Warwick Universities
- Completing a PhD by ‘structured components’, presented as a ‘digital notebook’ that includes code, visualizations, and analysis
- Collaborating and contributing to a collective research culture fostered through in-person activities
- Research-led internships hosted by partner organisations and academic colleagues.
