Dr Sara Jones

Sara Jones is Reader in Creative Interactive System Design at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London. Her research focuses on creativity, human–computer interaction, participatory design, and the role of AI and digital technologies in supporting human creativity and professional practice.

She is interested in interdisciplinary and practice-based research exploring data visualisation in the context of human–AI collaboration and creative human-centred methods for socio-technical system design.

Sara has previously supervised 9 PhDs to completion in software engineering, human-computer interaction, and creativity science. She is currently supervising PhDs in digital leadership and management as part of the Bayes PhD programmes. Sara would welcome applications from students interested in creative use of digital technologies including data visualizations, the potential role of data visualizations in human-centred AI, co-creation with and of data visualizations, and interdisciplinary approaches that include the use of data visualizations in addressing complex societal challenges.
