Sofia is a Senior Design Researcher and Service Designer with a portfolio career spanning a range of roles and sectors. Her professional experiences inform her autoethnographic approach: she has spent years inside organisations watching data go unused and stories go untold.
Her doctoral research sits at the intersection of inclusive data visualisation, civic participation and organisational storytelling: exploring what becomes possible when people are empowered to engage with their own data, professionally and personally.
She is Colorintech’s inaugural Visiting Researcher-in-Residence; Co-Leads the London Data Week ‘Data Art and Data Visualisation’ working group and is also developing an artistic practice informed by her research.
