Diverse CDT’s London Data Week events were a great success

14 July 2026

Diverse CDT hosted four events in London Data Week

We were blown away by the positive response to the events Diverse CDT hosted as part of London Data Week on 10th July. All of the events were really well attended and the feedback was overwhelmingly great. With well over 200 registrations, we’re sorry if you didn’t get to attend the session you wanted!

The events were really varied – ranging from Jo Wood’s presentation on revealing patterns of bias based on the position to candidate names on an election ballot paper, to the panel discussion on the role data visualization can play in revealing or, in some cases, amplifying bias.

The two workshops were lively explorations of what you can do with data and more than a dash of creativity. The first explained how to really make your data stand out and step beyond pure analysis. The second helped participants create zines filled with their own data.

Special thanks goes to all of the terrific presenters and the PhD students who volunteered to guide delegates to the right rooms throughout the day.

Here are just a few pictures from the day… roll on next year!
