Diverse CDT Partnerships and Engagement Manager
About the role
We are seeking a new Partnerships and Engagement Manager for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Diversity in Data Visualization – Diverse CDT.
Our vibrant partner network is core to the success of Diverse CDT. Our PhD students work closely with partners on their real-world challenges, producing innovative and exciting data visualizations. In return, the partners offer the CDT support that helps us take on more students. We need someone who will work closely with the Centre Manager to foster our existing partner relationships and help to forge new ones.
The Partnerships & Engagement Manager will lead on all aspects of the Partner Network to maximise the impact of Diverse CDT and the experience of its students. The core responsibility is to grow, sustain, and nurture the Diverse CDT Partner Network. We are looking to secure diverse, reliable and value-adding partners who are committed to Diverse CDT’s values and objectives – looking for new opportunities that deliver impact.
What we are looking for?
We would like to hear from you if you –
- are educated to degree level
- have experience of business development activities in a commercial or not-for-profit environment
- can demonstrate success in building and nurturing relationships with external partners
- possesses experience of effective operational management and delivery of complex multi-stakeholder projects.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of higher education systems, processes, policies, procedures, internal and external regulations, legislation, and quality standards. They will also have experience of web marketing, using email, social media, and other online marketing aimed at professional stakeholders.

Diverse CDT is a major initiative in doctoral training, based at City St George’s, University of London, and the University of Warwick. Backed by £10M of EPSRC, University and partner funding, Diverse CDT is training 5 cohorts of 12 PhD students in data visualization. This dynamic programme includes PhD student collaboration with industrial partners, academics across the university and international visualization labs.
